This SOP/Tutorial aims to instruct on the functionality and execution of the various processes necessary to generate our template in the Virtual Proofs section on GraphxServerIO, adjusting our parameters and completing our information, including decoration method, client name, product name, among others.
To access our Virtual Proofs section, we need to expand the menu from this section:
Add a caption...
Add a caption...
Now that we have expanded the menu, we need to go to Templates > Virtual Proofs Templates, and this is where we have all our templates:
Add a caption...
Before, we will teach you how to create or well, upload a template to our GraphxServer.
Upload the Template
To upload our template after having passed all the filters by GraphxServerIO, we need to direct you to the blue button with a "+" sign in the bottom left corner:
Add a caption...
Then this window will appear, where we will need to load our template:
Add a caption...
And here we can upload it in two ways, we can drag it from our folder or we can click where it says "Drop files here or browse", and that would open a folder where we can choose which InDesign file we want to upload:
Add a caption...
When choosing the template we selected, it will appear loaded as follows:
Add a caption...
And we press the green button that says "Save" to save it, and once it's saved, it will appear as follows:
Add a caption...
and it would be ready for use.
Full process video of Uploading the Template.
Update the Template
We also have a section that is used to update the template after making changes to the original template, how do we do it?
To do this, we need to open our template by clicking on the arrow that appears when you hover your cursor over the record we created, as follows:
Add a caption...
And while we are here, we will go to the blue button at the top right called, "Edit Template", and that will open the same window that had opened before, and this is where we will upload our template:
Add a caption...
Add a caption...
and this is where we will upload our template, just as we did before when we first uploaded it. And the template would already be updated, it should be noted that every time the template is updated, we have to follow these steps to have the most updated template on the server.
Full process video of Updating the Template.
Generate Template
It's time to generate our template, but for this we have two different ways of doing it, but let's explain this part a bit more.
At GraphxServerIO we have something called Mockup Request, which as the name suggests, means we can create an Automatic Mockup in the application and then upload it right there in GraphxServerIO. We also have the option to upload the Mockup that we have previously made in any other application and upload everything.
Mockup Request
Before starting with the template generation, we first need to generate our Mockup in our same GraphxServerIO application, so to do this we need to go to Orders > Mockup Request, then it will take us to the following window:
Add a caption...
Once here, we will go to the same blue button with the "+" (as we did previously to upload the template) and this will display our wide range and our vast library of products.
It is quite important our wide and vast range of products in our library, as we have products from GraphxServerIO and we also have product libraries from SanMar, S&S Activewear, and Alphabroder.
By clicking the button mentioned earlier, this window will appear where we can choose the product we want. We can even use different filters such as Supplier, Category, Sub Category, Brand, Gender, Size, and Color.
Add a caption...
Here we will choose the product we want, and upon choosing it, we will see how the window changes and it will show us all the colors and locations that the product has available.
Add a caption...
Once we have chosen the garment and the color we want, we need to select the location we desire, it is important to emphasize that only the locations available for that product will appear.
Add a caption...
We can also switch the product view by clicking on this section:
Add a caption...
Once we have selected the location we want, we can see that on the right side of the screen we have a record enabled that has the name of the location we want to show, and it is there where we will upload the logo we want to display.
Add a caption...
Add a caption...
Add a caption...
Once we have the image with our location loaded, we will click the button in the bottom right corner that says "Generate" and see how it loads.
Add a caption...
When the loading is complete, we will see this message displayed on the screen.
Add a caption...
Let's see how the image was generated, and it's ready to be downloaded. By clicking OK, the image will appear like this:
Add a caption...
And we just have to hover over the image and right-click, then select the "Save image as..." option, and a window will appear to save files where we can name it whatever we want.
Add a caption...
And when we save it, we will see that the file has been downloaded:
Add a caption...
Once we have already generated our Mockup, we will proceed to create our template.
Add a caption...
Being here in this window, this is where we will fill in the information for the different fields we have in our template, and we will divide it into three distinct parts, which are:
Product Information
Logo or Decoration Information
Customer Information
Product Information
The product information are the fields we have at the top, which are divided into:
ProductSKUNumber
DSSKUColor
SKUItemName
DecoratedSKU-URL which is where we are going to upload the image we just made in Mockup Request.
Add a caption...
ProductSKUNumber
As the name suggests, this is where we will put the SKU number of the product for which we are making the template, for example the SKU we chose in Moclup Request is "1-M0-Polos", so that is what we need to put in that field.
Add a caption...
Add a caption...
DSSKUColor
Now in this section we will have to specify the color of the product for which we made the Mockup Request, in this case the color we chose is black, so that is what we will need to put in the section.
Add a caption...
SKUItemName
In this case, we can see the product name in the same Mockup Request, we will go to the product, we see this in this section:
Add a caption...
As we can see, the product is called "Polos", so this is what we will put in the section.
Add a caption...
DecoratedSKUURL
In this section, we need to upload the image that we previously added the logo to and downloaded; we just have to click the button that says "Upload", which will load the Assets gallery.
Add a caption...
By clicking the blue button, a window will open for us to choose the product for which we made the Mockup, and upon loading it we are ready to save, and thus the file will be loaded to our template. Let's see it this way:
Add a caption...
And in this way we have finished filling in the product information, we can continue with the decoration information.
Video on how to fill out the product information.
Logo or Decoration Information
Here, like the previous section, we will divide it by "sections", but this part only involves things related to the logo and the type of decoration. Which are divided into:
DecoName
Height and Width
SupplierLocationName
ArtURL
Add a caption...
DecoName
Here, as the name suggests, we need to specify what kind of Decoration we are going to do for this art or logo, remembering that we have different types of decorations, such as Screen Printing, Sublimation, Heat Transfer, Embroidery, etc.
In this case, we are doing Screen Printing, so that's what we need to put in our field.
Add a caption...
Height and Width
In this section, we will need to fill in the exact measurements in Height and Width. If we do not know the measurements of the locations, I will teach you how to extract the information from the Mockup Request. For this, we need to go and select the location we previously chose to create the Mockup.
Add a caption...
and then we will click on "True size", turn on that option and we will see how it shows us the measurements of this location:
Add a caption...
As we can see in this case, the location measures 4"W x 4"H, so that is what we will put on the template.
Add a caption...
Let's remember that we only need to put the number, we don't need to put any letters or quotes.
SupplierLocationName
In this section, we need to fill it with the name of the location we are using, and yes, this information can be taken from the Mockup Request, just as we did last time we can see it when we enter the product. Or if you already know what location it is, you can just fill it in,
Add a caption...
In this case it is "Left Chest", so that is what we need to put in the specified field.
Add a caption...
ArtURL
In this section, we will need to upload the Art or logo that we use in our Mockup, and we upload it in the same way that we upload the DecoratedSKUURL.
Add a caption...
Video on how to fill out the Logo or Decoration information.
Customer Information
Just like the other sections, we will also divide this one into sections, but these are a bit easier since it is information about us. The sections are:
DeliveryEmails
CustomerName
OrderNumber
Add a caption...
DeliveryEmails
In this field is where we will need to enter our email address or our company email address , let's remember that this information is the client's information.
Add a caption...
CustomerName
In this field, we will need to enter our name or the name of the company.
Add a caption...
OrderNumber
In this section, we need to put the order number of our mockup, this is just an example:
Add a caption...
Video on how to fill out the Logo or Decoration information.
OurPut Formats
In this section, we can choose the output format of the template, for which we have 3 different formats, which are:
PDF
JPEG
INDD (InDesign File)
Template Test
Once we have filled in all the information on our template, we need to click the button that says "Generate", and upon clicking, we will see how our window begins to load, which means that we are now generating our template.
Add a caption...
Add a caption...
And when we finish, we will see how the PDF is displayed on our screen, and thus we can see how the fields we previously filled are.
Add a caption...
Video on how to fill out the all the template information.
Full Process Recap
In this section, we will leave a video of the complete process, from making the Mockup Request to generating our template, I hope this SOP/Tutorial was helpful, we try to be as clear as possible.
Add a caption...
It should be noted that this process includes the use of the Mockup Request from our GraphxServerIO, but there is also no problem if the mockup has already been made in another application. If that is the case, you can skip the Mockup Request steps and go directly to filling out all the fields of the template.
